Legal Assistant and Office Manager Daisy Ruiz
at Kessler Law Firm
Daisy Ruiz is the Legal Assistant and Office Manager at the Kessler Law Firm. Originally from California, Daisy and her family relocated to Fort Pierce in 1997. Daisy enjoys her role at the Kessler Law Firm, helping our clients in all kinds of ways while their cases are pending, and long after, too. She has primary responsibility for maintaining and managing the calendar for both attorneys, making sure every court appearance is handled successfully, whether the client has to attend or not. All communications run through her, too, and she makes certain that every question gets answered and every call or email returned. Every client knows every time his or her case goes to court, and whether the client’s attendance is necessary. Daisy is a “people person,” who always puts compassion first.
Daisy’s career in the legal field started during her Fort Pierce Westwood High School days as a part-time switchboard operator for the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court. The Clerk, impressed with Daisy’s potential promoted her to the County Court Division as a Criminal County Court Deputy Clerk. Daisy made daily court file preparations and daily court appearances to maintain accurate records. While at the Clerk’s Office, Daisy achieved her Associates Degree in Applied Science in Legal Assisting from Indian River State College.
After graduation, Daisy began to work for the State Attorney’s Office as a Criminal Felony Legal Secretary. Her responsibilities included managing the Assistant State Attorneys’ calendars, scheduling depositions, drafting various Motions and ensuring all documents were filed promptly. Daisy’s skills were in high demand, and she was later employed as an Administrative Assistant for a Family Magistrate in Martin County where she scheduled hearings on modifications of post-disposition family matters.
Daisy’s commitment to her community has earned her over ten years of legal experience in Fort Pierce, Port Saint Lucie, Stuart, and the surrounding areas.
Daisy is also fluent in Spanish. She takes pride in using her heritage to provide a great customer service to the Spanish-speaking community.
