South Florida – On Thursday, after 7 years Bartley Joseph Jude Gorman was arrested in Polk County. He is accused of being the driver who crashed his pickup truck into an SUV in Broward County, causing a fatal drowning. Gorman has been on the run since 2011.

Why 7 years?

“If we had charged him that night, we would not have the benefit of all the evidence to have a thorough case that can ensure prosecution,” Sgt. Gaskins said.

In this Facebook Live interview with Katie McCall from 10News WTSP Attorney Micheal Kessler explains the reasoning behind not arresting Gorman at the time of the fatal accident.
